[COVID-19 UPDATE: BINARY OPEN FOR DINE-IN SERVICE]
Dear Binary Patrons and Friends,
As of FRIDAY, MAY 29th, Binary has resumed dine-in service.
Since safety is our priority, please note that there will be a number of changes at Binary:
--Our capacity will be reduced. While the city recommends a capacity reduction of just 50% (see: http://www.westalliswi.gov/…/…/15344/Safe-Opening-Guidelines), in order to ensure safe social distancing, we have a set number of tables and chairs safely distanced for patron use well below this threshold. Guests beyond this limit will be asked to wait outside or in their cars until space clears up.
--In this vein, tables and chairs will NOT be allowed to be moved. They are spaced 6 feet apart to allow safe social distancing. What is more, only 6 people are allowed at any given table per the government guidelines, though most tables are limited to 4. And only members of the same household may sit at a table together.
--There will be designated areas to line up and order food at service stations at the bar. Line positions will be separated by 6 feet markers. Beyond these stations, patrons must remain seated until a spot clears up.
--Binary Staff are being instructed in extra cleaning measures to ensure that all areas of customer contact will be sanitized after each use. This includes tables, chairs, bar surfaces, and games.
--Staff are also being strictly directed to REMAIN HOME if they have ANY symptoms of COVID-19. We ask our patrons to please do the same!
--There will be limited access to our board game library. While patrons may select a game for use, it will be quarantined for a period of days after use until any risk of viral contamination is abated. While we have over 350 board games, this may mean your favorite game might be "out of commission" for a time. Consider this a great opportunity to try a new game out!
--Pool, air hockey, ping pong, and bar-supplied darts will be off-limits for the time being.
--Binary hours will be reduced to 5pm-10pm Wednesday through Thursday, and 5pm-12am Friday and Saturday to ensure ample time for deep cleaning at the end of each shift. This may be adjusted as necessary as we become accustomed to a new way of doing things!
--For the time being, rentals, large events, and Trivia are postponed.
--Our menu will be significantly reduced temporarily to accommodate for the reduction in capacity and staff.
While this is not an exhaustive list, this is a concise summary of some of the things we are doing to ensure the community's safety at this time. Thank you for your understanding and bearing with us through this challenging time.
